What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist customers with U-Haul products and services both inside and outside the center
- Use smartphone-based U-Scan technology for managing rentals and inventory
- Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers, and clean and inspect equipment
- Prepare rental invoices and accept returned equipment
- Participate in ongoing continuous education and training programs
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting equipment weighing a minimum of 50 lbs
- Willingness to work in environments requiring special safety precautions
- Ability to remain stationary for long periods and move around indoors and outdoors
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in customer service or a related field
- Prior knowledge of equipment maintenance and inspections
- Familiarity with using technology for managing rentals and inventory
- Certification in forklift operation (offered upon employment)
- Certification for filling propane (offered upon employment)
