What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist customers inside and outside a U-Haul center with U-Haul products and services
- Utilize U-Scan technology for managing rentals and inventory
- Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers
- Clean and inspect equipment on the lot, including checking fluid levels
- Prepare rental invoices and accept returned equipment
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a good driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including moving equipment weighing a minimum of 50 lbs
- Willingness to participate in ongoing education through U-Haul University
- Ability to work around moving parts or machines, and use protective gear when necessary
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience in customer service or retail environments
- Familiarity with U-Haul products and services
- Certification in forklift operation (offered through U-Haul upon employment)
- Certification in propane filling (offered through U-Haul upon employment)
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment
