What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist customers with U-Haul products and services both inside and outside the center
- Use smartphone-based U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory effectively
- Clean and inspect equipment, including checking fluid levels and preparing rental invoices
- Install hitches and trailer wiring, and fill propane (certification provided)
- Participate in ongoing education through U-Haul University
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a good driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including moving equipment weighing a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Willingness to work in a moderate-risk environment requiring special safety precautions
- Availability for scheduled shifts and participation in continuous education
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience in customer service or a related field
- Familiarity with U-Haul products and services
- Ability to drive a forklift (certification offered through U-Haul upon employment)
- Certification for filling propane tanks (also offered upon employment)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
