What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist customers inside and outside the employer's center with products and services
- Use smartphone-based technology to manage rentals and inventory
- Move and hook up trucks and trailers, including cleaning and inspecting equipment
- Answer customer inquiries and educate them on products and services
- Prepare rental invoices and process returned equipment
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including moving equipment weighing at least 50 lbs.
- Willingness to work in environments with moderate risks or discomforts
- Ability to adhere to safety precautions and use protective gear as needed
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous customer service experience in a retail or service environment
- Familiarity with equipment maintenance or repair
- Certifications in forklift operation or propane filling (training provided)
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Knowledge of U-Haul products and services
