What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist customers with U-Haul products and services both inside and outside the center
- Utilize smartphone-based technology to manage rentals and inventory
- Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers, including cleaning and inspecting equipment
- Answer customer inquiries and educate them on products and services
- Prepare rental invoices and accept returned equipment
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a good driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to perform physical exertion, including moving equipment weighing a minimum of 50 lbs
- Willingness to use protective clothing or gear as required
- Ability to work safely around moving parts or machines
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience in customer service or a related field
- Familiarity with rental equipment and services
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Willingness to learn and obtain certifications offered by the employer
