What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist customers with U-Haul products and services both inside and outside the center
- Utilize smartphone-based technology to manage rentals and inventory
- Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers
- Clean and inspect equipment, ensuring fluid levels are checked
- Prepare rental invoices and manage returned equipment
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a good driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting equipment weighing a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Willingness to engage in safety precautions when working around moving parts or chemicals
- Availability for continuous education and training through U-Haul University
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience in customer service or a similar role
- Familiarity with rental equipment and service processes
- Ability to obtain certifications for filling propane and driving a forklift
- Strong communication skills for effective customer interactions
- Enthusiasm for working in a dynamic, customer-focused environment
