      SUMMARY

      • The role needs to ensure operations are managed in accordance with the DSV strategy and policies and procedures and to esnure the goals and initiatives are cascaded down through the PE operations and VWSA Client Site


      ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

      • Planning and dispatching of loads, including allocating Drivers to relevant routes
      • Vehicle and load tracking
      • Managing the POD processing as well as Driver debriefing
      • Monitoring fuel and Driver overtime costs as well as ensuring vehicles are maintained and serviced
      • Ensuring Client's needs and expectations are consistently met within scope of the SLA
      • Client Interaction and issue resolution to ensure Client Satisfaction
      • Delivering on Client and internal requirements
      • Coaching and mentoring of team to achieve Client objectives

      QUALIFICATIONS

      • Logistics Warehouse Management or equivelant (advantage)

      COMPUTER SKILLS

      • Intermediate MS Excel
      • Transport Tracking systems exposure

      EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

      • At least 3 years logistics experience, specifically focussed on Road Transportation and dealing with Superlink Linehauls and Milkruns
      • Prior Team Leader experience
      • Experience in planning and allocation of loads as well as followups and tracking
      • Experience in capturing POD's and debriefing of Drivers
      • Experience in monitoring costs and overtime
      • Experience in Driver and Vehicle management
      • Excellent communication and relationship building skills
      • Ability to work under pressure and multi tasking
      • Coaching and mentoring skills

      This role requires working shifts, including night and graveyard shifts which is a non-negotiable
