- Measuring, monitoring, reporting, and analyzing product and processing performance (coatings field analysis), also measuring, and monitoring inventory.
- Supporting the efforts of the Technical Service Team through data collection and analysis.
- Participating within the site service team safety program.
- Complying to the Assembly Plant Service Process in the customer plant.
- Supporting customer and internal project schedule compliance through coatings field analysis activities, also supporting launch activities through coatings field analysis.
- Providing information / data to support Lab Work Requests to meet account needs and providing information / data to write and support NCMs.
- Supporting Problem Resolution Activities through coatings field analysis.
- Assists with color audit reviews through coatings field analysis.
- Complying with BASF Quality Systems and customer quality standards.
- High school diploma and 2+ years relevant manufacturing experience or Bachelor's degree and industry expertise.
- Have an environment health and safety mindset and expertise..
- Have good verbal, written communication skills and good interpersonal skills.
- Have paint Application Knowledge/Experience, defect Recognition, Analysis, and Identification
- Understand quality systems and concepts, and an understanding of customer labor policies.
- Have knowledge of business IT Tools (MS Office) and Quality Systems compliance.

Now hiring! Site Service Representative - OEM
We are looking for a Customer Site Service Rep I to join our Coatings team at our Lansing, MI customer facility. This is a manufacturing plant. Shift will be Monday - Friday and you will rotate between all three production shifts every 2 months.

BASF’s Coatings division is a global expert in the development, production and marketing of innovative and sustainable automotive OEM and refinish coatings, decorative paints as well as applied surface treatments for metal, plastic and glass substrates in a wide range of industries. This portfolio is supplemented by "Beyond Paint Solutions", which enable new applications with innovative surfaces.
The main responsibilities of this role include assisting with the monitoring of critical process parameters, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to address any quality concerns at our customer paint shop. You will be on the production line and will be maintaining accurate documentation, conducting regular audits, and providing recommendations for process improvements. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this role, as is Excel proficiency.
