- Perform first-level troubleshooting and response for anomalies in core network elements.
- Escalate unresolved issues to Nokia Care and track progress to resolution.
- Support customer-led activities including migrations and upgrades (primarily executed by Nokia Care).
- Prepare and review Method of Procedures (MOPs) for core network changes.
- Participate in Operational Readiness Testing (ORT) and Acceptance Testing Procedures (ATP).
- Provide detailed incident and KPI reports as defined in the Scope of Work (SOW).
- Recent Nokia experience (within the past 2 years) is mandatory.
- Hands-on experience with 4G and 5G packet core operations and architecture, preferably with Nokia solutions.
- Operational experience in Subscriber Data Management (SDM), specifically Nokia platforms.
- Strong understanding of Cloud-Native Functions (CNF) operations and lifecycle management.
- Operations and maintenance (O&M) expertise in the following core elements:
- MME, SPGW, AMF, SMF, UPF, NRF
- PCRF, HSS, PCF, UDM, AUSF, UDR
- CSCF, TAS, SBC, MRF
- Experience with Nokia CMG and CMM nodes.
- Experience with Nokia Advanced Packet Core (APC) components.
- Knowledge of Nokia Evolved Virtual Core (EVC).
- O&M experience using Nokia CMU Platform (CNF mode) via CLI and CMU GUI.
Job Description:
We are seeking a Core Network Engineer to support our customer onsite in Oakbrook, IL. The ideal candidate must have recent (within the last 2 years) hands-on experience with Nokia technologies and be proficient in 4G/5G core and SDM operations. This role requires strong operational and maintenance expertise across various core network elements and the ability to support complex network activities and troubleshooting.
