      Job title: Customer Support Specialist

      Location: Preston: We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

      Salary: £24,000

      What you’ll be doing:

      • Multi-tasking by handling incoming calls/webchats and responding to emails simultaneously without compromising on quality
      • Taking accountability for queries raised and endeavour to resolve these at first-point of contact or maintaining ownership through to resolution where further time may be needed
      • Promote a positive customer experience for employees who use the service
      • Deliver personal performance standards in line with wider business objectives
      • Support and contribute to the continuous improvement and implementation of new processes both within Shared Services and the wider business sectors

      Your skills and experiences:

      Essential

      • Experience of delivering high quality efficient customer service in a fast paced multiskilled Contact Centre or Office environment
      • Confidence using IT systems with the ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
      • Excellent communication skills with the ability to adapt your style to individual customer needs across written and verbal communication
      • Minimum 5 GCSE’s grade A-C including English or equivalent

      Desirable

      • Experience of working on live chat or on a helpdesk is preferred

      The Employee Service Centre Team

      As an integral part of Shared Services, the Employee Service Centre is the first point of contact for employees across BAE Systems, who contact the helpdesk for a vast range of queries across various lines of service including but not limited to HR, Time and Attendance and Expenses.

      The ability to multi-task and providing exceptional customer service are what makes our Employee Service Centre (ESC) Support Specialists stand out in supporting employees across one of the world’s leading defence and aerospace organisation.
