      About you and this role

      We are looking for a Customs & Trade Compliance Coordinator to join our Logistics team in Terneuzen , The Netherlands .


      As a Customs & Trade Compliance Coordinator for Preference, you manage Duty Optimization for exporting region of Europe. Execute the preference calculations and Long Term Vendor Declaration (LTVD) work process. This process entails requesting, reviewing & entering documents in our information system which demonstrates the preferential origin of raw materials supplied to Dow. Providing correct Preference statements on Delivery notes and Long Term Supplier Declarations (LTSD) resulting savings for Dow and its customers.

      Main responsibilities:

      • Execute core process of the Trade Preference activities
      • Maintain relationships with raw material suppliers
      • Work together with trade preference Subject Matter Experts (SME's) and Senior Coordinators to manage and improve the overall trade preference process
      • Analyze data to ensure Dow can optimize duties while remaining in compliance

      Responsibilities

      • Request and update information systems with Long Term Vendor Declarations (LTVD)
      • Use knowledge of free trade agreements to review LTVD's
      • File and archive LTVD’s
      • Run daily Diamond System Reporting (DSR) reports and analyze them. Check preference tool for the outgoing shipments and proactive handle the mismatches on Delivery Notes (DNs).
      • Analyze and calculate Global Material Identifications (GMIDs) in Global Trade Services (GTS) system and update the preference status as per the analysis
      • Handle escalations related to DNs and Long Term Supplier Declarations (LTSD)
      • Look up references in Information System for communication with external parties

      Qualifications

      • You have minimum a vocational degree (in Netherlands to be referred as MBO 3/4 level)
      • You have 1-3 years of relevant working experience
      • Fluency in English (written & oral)
      • Attention to details
      • Investigative mindset
      • Team player

      Preferred skills

      • International Trade, Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management experience
      • Experience in Customs, Trade Compliance or Integrated Supply Chain is an asset
      • Experience with SAP R3 & GTS is preferred
