Overall Role Purpose
Customs Broker is responsible for:

• Executing customs entries; and
• Monitoring regulatory updates and ensuring compliance of customs applications within the latest regulations.

Accountabilities
Customer, Other Stakeholder & Process

• Bills customers for services
• Resolves customer issues, handles and solves incidents (e.g. escalations, disputes) appropriately closely with the customer
• Ensures good relationships with Customs authorities and other required counterparts
• Manages dispatch/delivery processes
• Classifies items based on given specifications)

Skills / Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) to five (5) years previous experience in Shipping/International freight forwarding industry in a Licensed Customs broker role (advantageous)
• Sound knowledge of Freight Forwarding and Logistics in general
• Able to work independently
• Follow origin & destination government requirements
• Adaptable to changes daily due to customer & airlines requests
• High degree of reliability and attention to detail.
• Be a team player with a positive can-do attitude.
• Be results driven and be able to demonstrate strong communication and administration skills
