      This is a Cactus Wellhead position and is located in Odessa, TX.

      Night Shift: 7pm-7am

      J OB S UMMARY : Responsible for supervision of the assembly department which includes the cleaning, assembly, testing and painting of wellhead components and valves. Ensure that work is processed in accordance with priorities set by management and operation as well as ensuring that personnel are trained and conducting these processes in accordance with company policies, procedures and specification.

      E SSENTIAL F UNCTIONS , R OLES AND R ESPONSIBILITIES : Essential duties and responsibilities include the following.

      • Practices safe work habits and complies with all quality, safety, health and environmental policies, procedures, programs and
      • Coordinates with management, operations and inventory control on required assembled equipment needs and ensures the equipment is processed in a timely
      • Ensures equipment is assembled, tested and painted in accordance with Cactus Wellhead procedures and
      • Ensures tools, equipment and facilities used by the department to assemble products are available, maintained and operated in accordance with established procedures and
      • Coordinates with other departments on parts required for assemblies and the movement of completed assemblies to other (i.e. part for warehouse, assemblies to inspection or warehouse).
      • Ensures required documents (job routings, pick list, assembly procedures) are provided prior to work beginning and that all required sign-off and documentation is completed on assembled
      • Ensures department always maintains good housekeeping habits.
      • Ensures all department personnel are following procedures.
      • Conducts daily/beginning of shift toolbox meetings with department personnel on pertinent safety and procedural
      • Ensures parts and assemblies that are found to be non-conforming are forwarded to the quality department for disposition and that non-conforming parts and assemblies are not shipped to branches or
      • Plans and coordinates personnel work schedules and assignments to ensure production goals are
      • Ensures all assembled equipment is properly assembled, painted, and protected from damage or deterioration and is ready for shipment and/or
      • Special projects or assignments as directed by

      E DUCATION , T RAINING , E XPERIENCE : Six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

      C ERTIFICATIONS , L ICENSES , R EGISTRATIONS : None Required

      JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES: Ability to read and understand detailed instruction drawings and specifications on wellhead equipment and valves. Knowledge of good document control and process flow, knowledge of how parts are assembled tested and painted and the tools and equipment used to accomplish it. The ability to effectively manage subordinate positions, effectively resolve conflict, effectively work with other departments, supervisors and managers to accomplish assigned tasks. Intermediate Computer, Language, and Mathematical Skills and Advanced Reasoning Ability.
