Our work depends on Cyber Security Engineer joining our team as a member of the client’s Cyber Consulting Team, specializing in providing guidance and support to the client’s Endpoint technology program(s).

      HOW A CYBER SECURITY ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

      • Consults with customer/clients regarding enterprise Endpoint cybersecurity policies, requirements, and solutions.
      • Plans, prepares, and executes tests against endpoint technologies used to secure systems and reduce cyber risk.
      • Coordinates with stakeholders across the organization to identify and clarify specifications, requirements, and performance measures.
      • Leverages engineering expertise to document and codify use cases for mission partners and collaborates with service providers to ensure solutions meet the operational needs.
      • The Cyber Security Engineer, SME should have proven experience communicating effectively with a variety of business partners and customers and have a demonstrated capacity to develop effective interpersonal relationships; strong analytic and organization skills; self-starting skills; the ability to work effectively and independently, with little direction; ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

      PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

      • Consults with projects and system owners on cybersecurity Endpoint technology requirements, provides a detailed analysis of applicable Endpoint cybersecurity solutions, and prepares background papers on possible/recommended solutions.
      • Measures effectiveness of endpoint technology stack against known vulnerabilities and compliance requirements
      • Plans, prepares, and executes tests to assess Endpoint technologies against specifications and operational requirements. Document test analysis and deliver report in formats requested by the customer.
      • Assists in the implementation of the required government policy (i.e., NIST, NSM-8, CNSS, and ICD-503), and may make recommendations on process tailoring.
      • Responsible for performing assessments that validate established security requirements and to recommend additional security requirements and safeguards.
      • Supports formal Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E) required by the government accrediting authority through pre-test preparations, test execution, analysis of the results, and documentation of required reports (as needed).
      • Conduct periodic reviews of system audits and monitors corrective actions until all actions are closed (as needed).
      • May coach and provide guidance to team members as appropriate.
      • May serve as a team or task lead.

      WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

      • Education: Technical Training, Certification(s) and/or Degree (Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, etc.)
      • Required Experience: 15+ years
      • Required Technical Skills:
      • Demonstrated experience implementing or maintaining cybersecurity Endpoint technologies (e.g., EDR, DLP, AV, Vulnerability Scanning, multi-factor authentication solutions).
      • Demonstrated experience with enterprise cybersecurity management platforms (e.g. Trellix, Symantec, Microsoft, AWS, Tanium, ServiceNow, etc.).
      • Required Skills and Abilities:
      • Demonstrated experience engineering and deploying IT capabilities.
      • Demonstrated experience supporting the NIST Risk Management Framework.
      • Demonstrated experience with Windows server, Linux, and workstation administration and/or engineering.
      • Demonstrated ability to provide triage effectively and independently, and problem resolution for technical issues.
      • Demonstrated record of sound judgment and problem-solving skills necessary to make recommendations to Customer management.
      • Demonstrated working knowledge of information security policies and regulations.
      • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
      • Desired Skills and Abilities:
      • Demonstrated experience with implementation and assessment of security controls that support authorization and accreditation processes.
      • Demonstrated project management experience.
