      The Role

      As a core member of our information security team, you will be responsible for the overall application security program for our on-premises and cloud environments. Join an agile organization with a focus on building modern solutions with a “security from the start” mentality.

      We’ll trust you to:

      • Application Security: Shape the organization’s application security standards. Implement the latest technologies and practices in our software development lifecycle. Design and build solutions to improve application security. Automate processes, controls, and operational tasks. Review security architecture and application code. Provide subject matter expertise to project teams. Stay abreast of emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends. Troubleshoot security-related issues.
      • Endpoint Security: Develop and implement security measures to protect endpoint devices, including laptops, desktops, and mobile devices. Ensure the deployment of antivirus, anti-malware, and encryption solutions.
      • SIEM (Security Information and Event Management): Configure, manage, and optimize SIEM solutions to monitor and analyze security events. Develop and fine-tune SIEM rules to detect and respond to potential threats.
      • Data Protection: Responsible for designing and implementing robust security measures to safeguard sensitive information, conducting risk assessments, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations, and responding to security incidents to maintain data integrity.
      • Email Security: Implement and manage email security solutions to protect against phishing, spam, and malware attacks. Monitor email traffic for suspicious activities and ensure the integrity of email communications.
      • Security Alerting and Monitoring: Establish and maintain security alerting and monitoring systems to detect and respond to security incidents in real-time. Investigate and analyze security alerts to identify and mitigate threats.
      • Incident Response: Lead SOC incident response efforts, including the identification, containment, and remediation of security incidents. Conduct post-incident analysis to improve security measures and prevent future occurrences.
      • Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with security policies, standards, and regulations. Generate regular reports on security metrics, incidents, and remediation efforts.
      • Collaboration: Work closely with IT, network, and development teams to integrate security measures into the organization's infrastructure. Provide guidance and support to other teams on security best practices.

      You'll need to have:

      • Proven experience in endpoint security, SIEM, email security, and security alerting and monitoring solutions.
      • Strong knowledge of security protocols, encryption, and authentication methods.
      • Experience with security tools such as antivirus software, SIEM platforms, email security solutions, data protection tools and intrusion detection systems.
      • Experience integrating and deploying Microsoft security tools and instrumentation such as Defender, Purview, Sentinel are a plus
      • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
      • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
      • Programming experience with Java and at least one scripting language (Python preferred).
      • Experience implementing API security across distributed micro-services.
      • Experience with containers and container security.
      • Experience applying OWASP best practices to CI/CD pipelines.
      • Experience with AWS services (EC2, Lambda, CloudFront, Route 53, etc.).
      • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CASE, AWS, or CompTIA Security+ are a plus.
      • 5+ years of industry experience.
      • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
      • Java, Python, JavaScript, GitHub, Jenkins, Nexus IQ, Docker, Kubernetes, Cloud Formation, Terraform, Lambdas, RHEL, Windows, SumoLogic, Proofpoint, Defender, Rapid7 and more. These are our most-used platforms, but we keep our technology current.

      Compensation Information: Annual base salary for this role is $150,000 - $165,000. Salary is estimated for this role. Actual pay may be different.

      Discretionary Bonus: Role may be eligible to receive an annual discretionary bonus. Discretionary bonuses are determined by several factors including, but not limited to, firm, team, and individual performance.
