Job Description

- Implement and operate protections such as Cybersecurity tools, EDR, SIEM, Secrets Management
- Test plans to respond to and recover from security events and trends
- Educate the workforce on security awareness and best practices
- Providing guidance and recommendations regarding prioritization of investments and projects that mitigates information security risks, strengthen defenses, and reduce vulnerabilities
- Developing and maintaining security frameworks, policies, and standards
- Monitor for, investigate and remediate security events
- Strong ability to organize and manage multiple tasks utilizing effective time management skills
- Strong ability to follow through on assigned tasks/projects with minimal supervision
- Works effectively with all levels of internal technology team, end-users and management as well as 3rd party partners and vendors
- Professional attitude, excellent interpersonal skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and strong customer service focus
- Excellent listening skills and ability to dissect problems quickly, proactively disseminating information to the team, and escalating when appropriate
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations in a calm and collected manner
- Demonstrate ability to effectively convey technical ideas, issues, and solutions to a non-technical audience
- Strong desire to learn and ability to manage the implementation of new technology
- Willingness to provide after-hours and weekend support for security response or to meet other operational needs that cannot be accomplished during regular work hours
- Strong commitment to upholding NFP’s high ethical standards
- Basic level knowledge of:
- Networking security
- Data protection
- Threat analytics
- System hardening
- Engineering and Security Certifications from CompTIA

Summary
The Security Analyst reports to the Director - Cybersecurity. This position will be responsible for the day-to-day operation, maintenance and monitoring of a wide variety of security tools and applications that support the overall security of NFP. This is a technical, hands-on position role.
