L earn the basics of Cybersecurity and the processes our TDR analysts follow.
Identify , tria ge , and provide remediation advice for security detections and anomalies.
Analyze and interpret data from various sources to advance investigations, quantify trends, or support analytic al findings.
Leverage technology (commercial and open source) to enrich, triage, and characterize internal insights on malware and Indicators of Compromise (IOCs)
Follow investigative techniques and automation workflows.
Stay informed about information security trends and technologies in the technology industry and identify best practices and/or methodologies.
- Develop and implement project plans; determine requirements, deliverables, resources, timing/milestones and risks Provide comprehensive report out to senior leaders Investigate, research, analyze and provide recommendations to teams and leaders on assignments
- Monitors tools and participates in conversations to encourage collaboration across teams Uses critical thinking to approach problems and create solutions.

- Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
- Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Position Purpose:A Cybersecurity Apprentice is responsible for joining a team protecting what matters most to our associates and consumers by securing our sensitive data and critical assets from current and emerging threats. The Home Depot Cybersecurity consists of Architecture, Governance, Identity & Access Management, Internal Threat Operations, Issue and Compliance Management, Risk Assessment/Advisory, Security Consulting, Security Operations and Strategic Planning.
As a Cybersecurity Apprentice, you will be part of a team with more experienced Cybersecurity professionals to help build and grow your skills.
This is a temporary role, an approximate time span of 4-6 months, with potential to grow into a permanent position.
The Cybersecurity Apprentice is a n introductory position within the SOC T DR (Threat Detection & Response) team. This apprentice will report to a TDR Manager and will perform tasks including completing the required training for the week, shadowing other TDR analysts during their daily work, analysis of security events , research, and updat ing TDR documentation.
