What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Engage with business units and development teams to define secure, scalable cloud solutions on AWS
- Act as a subject matter expert for secure deployment, architecture reviews, and risk reduction in the AWS environment
- Conduct ongoing security posture assessments and configuration reviews across AWS services
- Mentor engineering teams by sharing AWS security best practices and providing hands-on training
- Develop governance guidance for the secure use of AWS services, including S3, EC2, Lambda, and RDS

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience
- 5–7 years of senior-level experience in related technologies, including hands-on work with AWS
- Deep understanding of AWS security practices and a shared responsibility model
- Experience securing large enterprise AWS environments (5,000+ users or assets)
- Proficient in scripting and using tools such as AWS CLI, SDKs, and APIs

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- AWS Security Specialty Certification and AWS Solutions Architect Professional Certification
- Highly desired: CISSP, CISM, CISA, or other relevant security certifications
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (CloudFormation or Terraform) for automating security operations
- Experience leading or mentoring teams in a security or cloud engineering capacity
