      Department Overview

      Unified Communications (UC) is the organization that builds MSI's broadband mission critical communications portfolio of applications.


      Job Description

      This position is a hands on development, deployment and testing role including:

      • Integrate security events for 3rd party components and MSI applications into MSI's SIEM

      • Add custom detections for security events from MSI applications

      • Honey Pot implementation

      • Develop correlation rules in MSI's SIEM to detect potential exploits on the honeypot and correlate with those in production systems

      Required Skills:

      • Hands-on experience with security event logging, establishing ingest pipelines into a SIEM, SIEM deployment, writing SIEM alerts/detections, correlation of alerts from SIEM, integrating alerts with a SOC.


      Basic Requirements

      • Pursuing Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity or allied disciplines.

      • Graduation date must occur on or after December 2025.

      • Must be a US Citizen, permanent resident or be an MS student with work authorization (F1 Visa on CPT accepted only for masters-level students).
