      Description

      PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITY

      Under the direction of IT Director, the Cybersecurity Network Engineer (Engineer) will demonstrate an analytical mind and a detailed understanding of cybersecurity methodologies. The position is expected to have meticulous attention to detail, outstanding problem-solving skills, work comfortably under pressure, and deliver on tight deadlines.

      To ensure safety and success, the cybersecurity engineer will display an excellent understanding of security technologies including use of Firewalls, Data Loss Prevention, IDS/IPS, Web-Proxy, Secure Remote Access, Antivirus and Anti-Malware software. The Engineer performs proactive vulnerability testing, risk analysis and security assessments. This position will be comfortable working with a variety of technologies, security problems, and troubleshooting of the network.

      Qualifications


      EDUCATION

      • A Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, IT, systems engineering, or 5 years of work experience

      • Industry certifications related to cyber security and network systems, a plus

      EXPERIENCE

      • 5 years of work experience with incident detection, incident response, and forensics

      • Configuration of Windows and Linux host-based security, as well as network and cloud-based security systems

      • Experience with Firewalls (functionality and maintenance), Office 365 Security, VSX, Endpoint Security, Router Access Control Lists and web content filters. Experience with Audit Log collection review and analysis

      • Implementation and support of LANs, WANs, Internet, Web Servers, network operating systems, physical and virtualized servers, and PC clients, in an enterprise environment

      SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

      • Knowledge of LAN/WAN components, including network operation systems, Internet, firewall, security, servers, PCs, network communication protocols, and networking hardware

      • Knowledge of server hardware and operating systems, virtualization tools (VMWare), storage networking

      • Knowledge of Active Directory administration and management, including Group Policy

      • Communication skills to interface with users of different levels

      • Ability to work under pressure, in a fast-paced environment

      • Strong attention to detail, with an analytical mind and outstanding problem-solving skills

      • Great awareness of cybersecurity trends and hacking techniques
