- * Performs a variety of laboratory procedures relevant to the cytogenetic laboratory.
- * Prepares and tests specimens for examination.
- * Reports preliminary results to the Supervisor.
- * Maintains accurate records.
- * Responsible for the operation and routine maintenance of laboratory equipment.
- Maintains the laboratory area in a clean and orderly manner.
- Performs related duties, as required.
- Bachelors Degree in Medical Technology or Basic Sciences, required.
- Licensed by New York State Education Department (NYSED) as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist (or as appropriate to area of assignment), required. OR Completion of a clinical rotation at LIJ in the specific area noted above.
- Minimum of one (1) year work experience and/or training specific to the work being done in the area noted above.
