Review sales plans and customer orders to understand the scope of design and requirements.
Determine design feasibility and specifications by working with a team of engineers and drafters.
Develop trial build instructions, calculations, and quality control documentation.
Design for manufacturing by understanding plant capabilities and equipment limitations.
Create ease of installation designs making it easy for our customers to specify our products.
Able to review and present the product development status of each project.
Provide technical guidance with sound engineering principles.
Develop lab testing requirements to ensure proper testing meets the customer's specifications.
Travel: 2%
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
High attention to detail and solid organizational skills.
Ability to make, read, analyze drawing designs, and understand stack-up tolerances & press fits.
Demonstrate the ability to work in team environments, good written and oral communicational skills, flexibility, and adaptability to changing situations.
Able to apply fundamental engineering theories, mathematics, mechanics, and physical science concepts to the job.
Proficiency in 3D CAD (Inventor, SolidWorks, or another).
CFD/FEA methodology.
Knowledge of Mathcad, RISA, etc.…
HVAC Design experience.
Manufacturing experience with Welding, Assembly, and Machine Shops.
GD&T Understanding.
Project management skills.

This exciting position is responsible for the growing developments in the Industrial damper division. You will need to learn and understand a variety of high-velocity, elevated-temperature applications to calculate the design load requirements. You will be working with a team developing turnkey product applications from existing and new designs into customer applications.
