      Job Description

      Dance Team Instructor (Part-time, Seasonal)

      The Boston College Bands Program seeks a part-time Dance Team Instructor to provide instruction and support for the “Screaming Eagles” Marching Band Dance Team. Applicants should have extensive experience choreographing and instructing students in various dance forms including pom, kickline, jazz, lyrical, and hip-hop styles.

      Applicants must be available for our preseason Camp during the last two weeks of August from 9 AM to 10 PM in addition to weekly rehearsals during the fall and spring seasons on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7 PM to 10 PM. In addition to seven home football games, applicants must be available for occasional special events and travel performances including potential bowl games.

      Each staff member in the Division of Student Affairs is expected to support division and university-wide initiatives, staff events, and serve on committees as needed.

      Salary: $7,694.00

      Requirements

      • A degree in dance or dance education is preferred.
      • Applicants should have extensive experience choreographing and instructing students in various dance forms including pom, kickline, jazz, lyrical, and hip-hop styles.
      • Must be available for Band Camp.
      • Must attend all rehearsals and performances.
      • Must be available for post-season bowl game travel.
