      Overview

      We have an exciting Data Abstractor career opportunity for an dynamic person join our team at Pediatrix Medical Group. We are a national healthcare organization and one of the nation’s largest providers of prenatal and neonatal services.

      This role is currently completed remotely, but has the potential to return to onsite in Houston, TX.

      Responsibilities

      Data Abstractors enter clinical data from patient charts daily into the required systems and produces reports from as requested.

      • Obtains clinical data from patient charts and enters daily for the previous 24 hour billing period for each patient.
      • Completes the data collection daily and exports files as necessary.
      • Provides some administrative support for the practice as necessary.
      • Presents a positive, professional appearance and conveys a professional demeanor in the performance of assigned duties
      • Maintains strict confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations and Company policy.
      • Performs other duties as assigned.

      Qualifications

      Education:

      • Education Level: High school diploma or equivalent.

      Experience Industry:

      • Healthcare

      Experience/Skills:

      • Six months to one year related experience in data collection
      • Excellent computer and typing skills

      Location:

      • Must live in Houston, TX.

      Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience will be considered.
