Job Summary:

As a Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting our leaders with accurate data to help support our business decision-making. This position ensures data accuracy and integrity in reports by conducting thorough data analysis and validation. This includes designing, developing, testing, and rolling out BI and reporting solutions to a wide variety of end users. The Data Analyst is also responsible for ensuring high system availability through support functions. You will work closely with stakeholders in other departments to conduct needs analyses to recommend, develop, implement, and support analytics solutions that deliver essential information and analytics to their teams. Over time, you will become an expert in the data in our enterprise apps and effectively use that expertise to mine the data for knowledge and information that enhance business processes.

Duties:

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards to support business decision-making in the financial sector.
• Implement data modeling, visualization, and reporting techniques to effectively present complex data in a user-friendly manner.
• Produce data visualization such as charts, infographic, and dashboards to communicate findings and actionable recommendations to internal stakeholders clearly and effectively.
• Analysis areas might include (but not limited to): acquisition, retention, lifetime value, targeting, messaging, promotions, usage, and engagement.
• Fluency in SQL coding with experience optimizing querying large databases. Expertise with one or more databases such as SQL Server, Snowflake, AWS
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity in reports by conducting thorough data analysis and validation.
• Stay current with the latest trends and best practices in Power BI and healthcare data analytics.
• Provide training and support to team members and stakeholders in using Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Proven experience as a Power BI creator, financial services experience is a plus.
• Strong understanding of Power Query, DAX, and Row-Level Security functionality within Power BI
• Demonstrated experience creating visually appealing reports with controls and filters that are intuitive. (UI and UX)
• Experience using Power BI to author, publish, schedule, and optimize analytic solutions. Certification is a definite plus. A solid understanding of security models in Power BI and row level restrictions.
• Strong experience in dimensional data modeling, business concept mapping to data objects, and familiarity with semantic data definitions, data dictionary concepts. Exceptional customer service skills, including the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of customers.
• Familiarity with CCPA and GDPR guidelines.
• Experience with using Azure SQL datasets to populate Power BI reports.

Required Knowledge:

• Strong analytical thinking for converting data into relevant reports and graphics.
• Capable of enabling row-level data security.
• Knowledge of Power BI application security layer models.
• Ability to run DAX queries on Power BI desktop.
• Understanding of the Microsoft BI Stack.
• Demonstrated excellence in data analytics. Prior experience in data-related tasks.
• Proficiency in software development is a plus.
• Familiar with MS SQL Server BI Stack tools and technologies, such as SSRS and TSQL, Power Query, MDX, Power BI, and DAX. Experience in AWS cloud data toolsets are a plus.
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts and data modeling.
• Proficient in doing advanced-level computations on the data set.
• Excellent communication skills are required to communicate needs with clients and internal teams successfully.

Experience and Education:

• Minimum of two years’ experience with Business intelligence tools and systems such as Power BI, and Tableau.
• Bachelor's degree in data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business or Finance. Three years of demonstrated experience developing outstanding Power BI solutions may qualify in lieu of a degree.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
