Description:
Local Candidates only/Hybrid role Duration: This is a 6 month contract position with potential for extension. Hybrid schedule 3 day a week in the office starting ~ August
Data Analyst
The primary responsibilities of this role, Data Analyst, are to:
• Partner with Breeders, Data Scientists and Software Developers to drive data alignment and consistency across the Breeding organization.
• Deliver key datasets to enable our delivery of the product pipeline
• Develop data assets needed to provide breeding insights to the global organization
• Support analytic models and report creation to drive product decisions
• Provide analytics and pipeline data support during peak harvest times
• Provide framework to support new IT tool implementation and testing
• Willingness to support a fast pace and highly critical data flows in shorts amounts of time
• Create ad-hoc reporting datasets to leadership
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science with minimum of three years relevant experience; or a Master of Science with one year of relevant experience in life sciences or data analytics fields
• Experience with R and/or Python, Java, Linux or other computing languages
• Solid experience with PL-SQL a must.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and projects
• Ability to work as part of multidisciplinary/multicultural team
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to excel in ambiguous environment; thinking objectively and leveraging information to develop corporate strategies and guidelines that effectively balances compliance and operations.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Preferred degree in Plant Breeding, Agronomy, Molecular Biology or related discipline.
• Two years of experience with Python and R
• Project management experience with the ability to drive projects to completion while working under tight timelines.
• Proficient in Bayer’s enterprise data management and analysis software.
• Experience leading IT strategies and building solutions to meet changing business needs.
