      What You Will Do

      As a Data Analyst in CTCT, you will engage with our Engineering teams to identify and extract insights that maximise value for our customers, collaborate with Product to prioritize application instrumentation needs, and partner with Data Engineering to implement the data roadmap effectively.

      This role demands tactical skills while following data management best practices, the ability to acquire functional knowledge while working with domain experts and identifying data strategies across products, strategic skills to promote an analytical mindset within the Engineering organisation, and excellent storytelling abilities to communicate data insights across CTCT.

      This will see you involved in the following:

      • Promote data infrastructure capabilities within local (NZ) and remote (US, India) development teams

      • Design and implement data visualisations using Power BI

      • Present insights and findings in various reviews and presentations

      • Assist the development team in leveraging data insights to inform their design and architecture decisions

      • Conduct ad-hoc analysis with other groups such as Portfolio, Finance, Quality, and Support

      • Develop a roadmap of metrics capabilities aligned with organisational objectives

      • Stay aligned with our data infrastructure model and data strategy

      • Collaborate with engineering teams, including CX/UX, to ensure clean and quality data collection. Coordinate data cleansing with Data Engineering

      • Contribute to and follow data governance best practices

      • Maintain documentation as the source of truth

      • Identify subject matter experts and data owners, classify data, and validate data reliability, especially with individual product teams in engineering.

      What skills & experience you should bring

      Along with your excellent communication skills for coordinating and presenting analytics findings, you will also have:

      • Proven professional-level experience in data analysis and visualization, preferably with MS Azure and Power BI. Microsoft certification is a plus

      • Demonstrable critical thinking, attention to detail, and strong written skills to establish documentation best practices

      • Solid understanding of data governance and infrastructure development

      • The ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, to manage roadmaps and dependencies

      • Technical acumen to understand the Grade Control functional domain; experience in the Construction, Automotive, or Connected Devices industry is a plus.
