!*!Candidates with a Master's Degree in health policy or related public health fields can have a minimum of 3 years' experience. Equivalent education/experience may be substituted for degree requirement. Candidates with a Bachelor's Degree in health policy and related public health fields must also have at least 7 years of related work experience.
!*!Performs research, analysis, and modeling on organizational data and data sets utilizing advanced statistical methods to mine and analyze complex and unstructured data sets. Offers complex analysis and utilizes advanced algorithms and statistical software. Adheres to all protocols.
!*!The position will work with a multi-disciplinary team of investigators, research assistants, and data analysts on Health Policy Institute research projects, Medicaid Research Center and departmental research. The data scientist will be responsible for coordinating data acquisition and analyses. Additionally, the data scientist will contribute to dissemination of research findings by participating in drafting publications and presentation materials. The candidate must possess experience with SAS, STATA or R programming and have a working knowledge of simple, descriptive statistical procedures. The candidate must also possess excellent scientific writing skills.
