      Compensation includes a base salary of $64,200.00 - $96,400.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

      Job Description

      Cox Communications is looking for a Data Analyst II to join the Commercial Services Business Intelligence team (CSBI). The CSBI team supports Cox Business (CB) ($3B of Cox Communications revenue) with actionable insights using data. With the support of your peers, you will deliver business insights across all areas of CB including Sales, Marketing, Product, and Operations using cutting edge technology.

      You will use and develop your data analytics & data-driven storytelling skills using a variety of tools such as Tableau, Salesforce, SQL, MS office and others, while working on a variety of projects to inform CB decision-making. This role will impact all areas of CB through reporting, statistical analysis, modeling, and data visualization. Not only will you develop strong technical skills, but you will also develop a strong professional network within Cox Communications.

      RESPONSIBILITIES

      • Develop effective presentations with emphasis on data-driven storytelling.
      • Design, build, and present solutions to stakeholders that address complex business problems.
      • Collaborate with other team members to deliver analytical insights.
      • Perform data analysis - Gather and compile data used for identifying business trends. Access and manipulate data from company data systems and sources to support storytelling.
      • Perform reporting & visualization - Create data visualizations and modify existing reports.
      • Support financial and operational consultative services through collaborative partnerships - Analyze and review data and support resolving questions and/or business problems.
      • Monitor and optimize business processes - Provide and review data to ensure both compliance and effectiveness of operational and financial processes.
      • Influence critical business decisions through analysis and modeling.
      • Identify and utilize opportunities to increase efficiency and improve team processes.
      • Distill key business insights from large datasets.

      SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS

      Minimum

      • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 2 years’ experience in a related field (Business Analytics, Finance, Engineering, etc). The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master’s degree and up to 2 years’ experience; or 6 years’ experience in a related field.
      • 2+ years of experience in an analytical function.
      • Strong SQL skills with experience working with and manipulating large datasets.
      • Previous experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, CRM Analytics, PowerBI).
      • Clear and effective communication skills (oral/written); ability to translate analytical findings into concise business insights.
      • Willingness to learn and tackle new complex problems.
      • Attention to detail and ability to meet project timelines through demonstrated time management and prioritization skills.
      • A positive attitude, determination, and humility.

      Preferred:

      • 2+ years using tools like Tableau, CRM Analytics, or PowerBI for visualization and analysis.
      • 2+ years using data extraction and manipulations tools like SQL, Python, Alteryx, or Tableau Prep.
      • 2+ years using cloud-based data solutions such as AWS, Data Cloud, or Snowflake
      • 2+ years using data modeling, data architecture, and data warehousing techniques leveraging Python or R.
      • 2+ years of experience in data-driven storytelling.
