As a data analyst mid or senior in the Corporate Strategy Control group, you’ll orchestrate financial and operational analytics from the ground up, focusing on building and developing database, analytical, and reporting capabilities. You’ll create and coordinate the reporting strategy and repository, craft reports that allow for the analysis and reconciliation of data against budget and forecasts, and act as a thought partner to challenge and inform financial projections and our view of financial and operational success. Collaborating with the Strategy Controller and closely working alongside the team at Level20, our innovative business incubator, you’ll contribute to data-driven decision-making and operational excellence. This is a hybrid role that will require in-office work based on business needs (roughly one day per week) at Level20 (800 W St Clair Ave, Suite 200, Cleveland, OH 44113), where free parking is available. There will also be occasional in-office time required at Progressive Corporate Headquarters (300 N. Commons Blvd., Mayfield Village, OH 44143). Must-have qualifications - Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative field of study and a minimum of one year of analytical work experience - Instead of a quantitative degree, a bachelor's degree or higher and a minimum of three years of analytical work experience - Instead of a degree, a minimum of four years of analytical work experience - This position requires online pre-employment testing for external candidates Preferred skills - Advanced skills in designing, developing, and implementing dashboards and front-end visualizations using Power BI and/or Tableau. - Intermediate to high proficiency in programming languages, specifically SQL. - Experience querying data warehouses, specifically Snowflake. - Ability to translate complex technical information from multiple sources into simple, engaging visuals for a less-technical audience. - Full understanding of MS Office, with intermediate to advanced expertise in Excel, including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, charts, graphing, and macros.
