Salary
From 34,000 to 37,000 depending on experienceData Analyst - Transforming transport through data
We’ve got a great commercial team at Stagecoach East Midlands, ensuring our bus services deliver for our customer, colleague, and community partners. We’re looking to strengthen the team and appoint a Data Analyst to provide reports and analysis both within the company and to our local government partners.
What's in store? Your data analysis skills will inform and drive decisions which take our company forward. Whether it’s the number of passengers we are carrying, how punctual our services are or our network performance, the information which you provide to our senior leadership team will be vital to how our business develops.
You will also play a key role in programming and managing our ticketing system, both the machines on the buses and our web and app sales. Alongside this you will provide periodic reports to our finance team and to the local councils we work with. Management of the data will also be important so that all reporting is as accurate as can be.
Here’s what we’re looking for
• Financial awareness and general business acumen
• Numeracy, analytical capability, accuracy and attention to detail
• Computer literacy (proficient in Excel and using databases)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong verbal/written communication skills to present findings to the senior leadership teamYour experience
• Working in a commercial/financial environment previously
• Previous budget or forecast experience would be ideal
• Knowledge of statistical methodologies and data analysis techniquesWhilst you will be computer literate it’s unlikely that you will have knowledge of all our systems. Don’t worry because training will be provided to fill any gaps.
Your role will be based at our Head Office in North Hykeham near Lincoln. We need someone ready to dive into the deep end, tackle challenges head-on and play a crucial role in the future of Stagecoach East Midlands.
