We are looking for a detail-oriented, technology driven specialist to maintain, optimize, teach, and expand our ever-growing tech stack within the Business Intelligence (BI) team and organization. This position is best suited for someone with a passion for sport, but an even larger passion for data, technology, and innovation. What you’ll do:

• Be the go-to person and expert for all of the following systems in our tech stack:
  1. Data Warehouse (Snowflake);
  2. ELT Tools (Fivetran, Matillion, Portable);
  3. Customer Data Platform (StellarAlgo, Rudderstack);
  4. Email Automation and Texting system (Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Braze, Customer.io);
  5. Data Visualization software (Tableau, Sigma, Power BI);
• Assist in implementation of any new software into our tech stack;
• Continually meet with key stakeholders to identify pain points and to find potential solutions to reduce both time needed and effort to complete tasks;
• Stay up to date on current trends to ensure we stay at the forefront of technology;
• Have the ability, or want to learn, coding languages that could assist our company in extracting, analyzing, and creating data/data models;
• Provide real-time analysis to the wider Marketing team on all Marketing metrics and KPI’s.

What’s Needed:

• Post-secondary degree in math, business data analysis, computer science, or a related field;
• 1-2 years of experience in a data analysis or data engineering-focused role;
• Intermediary to expert-level knowledge of Microsoft Excel and data manipulation is a must;
• Experience with any of the tools listed in the job description is considered a major asset;
• Experience with API calls, integration feeds, data modeling, and database management is considered an asset;
• A willingness to learn new tools and strategies, with a quick uptake time;
• Data-driven, with a clear understanding of data, analytics, metrics, and their importance;
• A good storyteller: being able to convey your findings in an effective, clear, and concise manner for all levels of staff;
• Innovative and challenges the status quo;
• A desire to go beneath the surface and discover and distill a problem down into a very clear set of hypotheses that can be tested. Wanting to know why data says what it does;
• Pro-active and effective in managing projects and their deadlines while considering all stakeholders;
• Strong communication skills, both verbally and written with the ability to anticipate needs before they occur.
