  WITHIN YOUR TEAM

  We are looking for an experienced Data Analyst, preferably one with sufficient Data Engineering skills to support themselves.

  As a Data Analyst, you will communicate with product owners and other executives to understand and prioritize information needs. Your deliverables will turn information into insights that will contribute to business decision-making.

  You will collaborate with the product engineering team to understand what data is currently available and contribute requirements to add the necessary functionality to capture additional data required to meet the business’s information needs.

  You will interact with the IT organization to define and operate the Data Analytics Platform that will support the work you will perform. You will be familiar with modern data stewardship practices, including those relating to security and privacy.

  WITHIN YOUR ROLE, YOU WILL:

  • Identify data that will need to be analyzed

  • Collect data from multiple sources

  • Organize and maintain databases used for data analysis

  • Filter and clean data in preparation for analysis

  • Monitor and manage data quality

  • Analyze data to extract information and identify patterns or trends

  • Interpret the results of analysis, communicating with language and visualizations, to support decision making

  YOUR EDUCATION AND BACKGROUND EXPERIENCE WILL INCLUDE:

  • 2+ years of relevant experience with:

  • Microsoft Power BI

  • Microsoft Excel

  • SQL

  • Apache Spark / AWS Glue

  • Python

  • JavaScript/TypeScript

  • Experience with web-based product businesses, their operations and data analysis needs

  • Prior eCommerce data experience preferred.

  • Experience with cloud-based software applications/services, specifically AWS’s Data Analytics related services, including Big Data and Machine Learning

  • Experience with Agile software development processes and principles

  • Experience using JIRA and Confluence for project and knowledge management

  • Good skills and knowledge of facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency

  • Clear written and verbal English communication skills

  • Attention to detail, especially with respect to accuracy of published reports

  • Ability to work successfully in a team environment

  • Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Self-motivated and self-directed, creative and flexible, with excellent time management and organizational skills

  • Degrees or other certificates for job-relevant skills a plus
