      Job Description:

      Project Scope - *** Global Direct Vendor Data is used throughout the enterprise to support business objectives such as strategic sourcing, cost management, risk management, compliance, and more. Some of these processes require rooftop accuracy but historical direct vendor data processes have not taken the steps to ensure this level of accuracy. The purpose of this 90 day project is to use a data validation service to upgrade Direct Vendor data for nearly 2,000 active Direct Vendor locations for address, city, state, country, postal code, latitude and longitude to the greatest level of accuracy possible for the address locality. In addition, the project will capture any available relevant metadata related to the validated address.

      The project will be roughly organized around 3 phases:
      Phase 1: Analyze & Validate Proposed Changes
      Run the existing address data through a validation process
      Compare existing data with validated data and categorize for action based on changes that can be accepted as is vs changes that need to be reviewed
      Compare existing confidence attribute with precision attribute provided by data validation service
      Track the level of improvement in precision of address data
      Identify changes that need to be confirmed by a business owner who can attest to the correctness of the proposed change

      Phase 2: Update and Verify Changes Made
      Follow up with supplier managers to confirm any proposed changes that are different enough that verification is needed
      Compile the proposed list for updates with recommended changes and any necessary approvals/verifications
      Review the proposed changes with the Direct Vendor Master Data Steward, make any adjustments as needed
      Update the final approved list in the system using a bulk upload process
      Summarize the project actions including:
      Number of locations updated (goal is 100%)
      Change in accuracy (current attribute is “Confidence”, new attribute will likely use language like “Rooftop”, “Thoroughfare”, “City”, “Postal”, etc.)

      Phase 3: Project Wrap Up and Recommendations
      Present project impact to key stakeholders
      Provide summary of key findings, future recommendations & areas for improvement etc.
      Candidate will provide periodic updates to communicate project status, blockers, etc.

      Qualification:
      Required skill sets: Data analysis, excel, outlook, powerpoint, excellent communication skills, works well independently
      Nice to have skill sets: SQL, python, Tableau, prior experience with address validation projects
