- Contribute to the Business Intelligence (BI) efforts, including maintaining and enhancing KPIs and dashboards.
- Work with diverse datasets, such as user in-app behavior, notifications, experiments, blockchain transactions, and market operations.
- Support data-driven decision-making by providing thorough data analysis.
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field like economics, computer science, or statistics.
- 4+ years of experience as a data analyst, preferably in start-ups or fast-paced environments.
- Experience in business intelligence and data visualization tools like Metabase, Tableau, Looker, or PowerBI.
- Strong focus on high-quality, accessible data visualizations with attention to detail.
- Understanding of business economics and financial concepts; experience with economic/financial data is a plus.
- Advanced SQL skills; knowledge of DBT is a plus.
- Programming experience in languages like Python.
- Experience in data wrangling to prepare complex datasets for analysis.
- Curious, autonomous, and with a strong sense of ownership.
- Practical, results-oriented mindset.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-evolving environment.

The Data Science team is responsible for deriving data-driven insights to support World's key decisions. Due to our unique growth model involving a global network of Orb Operators verifying individuals' humanness, we require a high-performing Data Science team capable of managing and analyzing large datasets generated by our products and operations. Our privacy-maximizing approach imposes specific restrictions on data collection, storage, and usage, making innovations in data science crucial for deriving insights. We are known for our technical expertise, hands-on approach, responsiveness, precision, and impactful solutions.
About the Opportunity:
As our first Data Analyst, you will support a team of three Data Scientists and a Statistician. You will collaborate with Data Scientists to build data-driven models and generate insights through analysis and reporting. The role emphasizes Business Intelligence, with a focus on BI reporting and data visualization to facilitate decision-making in a fast-paced environment. You will also work with other teams within the broader Data Science & Economics group, including Economics and Fraud & Risk Analytics.
