Job Description

- Analyze data to generate insights for tactical and strategic business decisions
- Extract information and structure knowledge from data in order to develop new services, new products or new market opportunities
- Carry out studies linked to business concerns
- Understand the product and be a source of suggestions for optimizations
- Foster the use of analysis tools and methods within the Business Unit
- Automate data recovery, processing and displaying processes
- Create and model the databases necessary for the business, then ensure their proper functioning
- Develop segmentation criteria in order to best study the figures
- Create visual restitutions in the form of dashboards
- Carrying out studies on specific business issues
- Minimum experience of 3 years on similar missions
- Mastery of Python language and SQL
- In-depth knowledge of the Google stack (Google Analytics, Google Cloud Platform, BigQuery)
- Ability to analyze and synthesize complex data
- Proficiency in Power BI and Looker Studio for creating data visualizations
- Good general knowledge of digital and business trends in data analysis
- Some achievements in the field of machine learning would be a plus
- Knowledge of Dataiku would be a plus

DATA ANALYST – VIAMICHELIN/GUIDE MICHELIN
Description of the entity and team
At Michelin Group, Experience Business Line brings personalized experiences in the fields of travel, gastronomy and hospitality. It is part of the dynamic of diversification of the Michelin Group's activities "beyond the tire" and is structured around 5 businesses: Restaurant (Michelin Guide), Wine (Robert Parker Wine Advocate), Hotel (Tablet), Licensing and Journey planning (ViaMichelin).
Within Experience Business Line, you will be part of a Data hub covering both ViaMichelin and Michelin Guide. Some adhoc missions are also possible for other Business unit businesses. The data hub is a recent initiative to empower the different businesses with the best practices across the activities. The initiative is hosted within ViaMichelin, a start-up minded digital team of c.25 people, based on the Experiences Business line headquarters in Boulogne Billancourt
Background and Mission
ViaMichelin has been launched in 2001 and was, at this time, a pioneer in journey planning technologies. Since then, millions of travelers in Europe have been using ViaMichelin website and mobile apps to plan their journeys, estimate the cost of their trips and find relevant and distinctive accommodation, restaurant and sightseeing places on the way.
In a context of deep transformation of the Experience Business Line, ViaMichelin is shifting the business on a new user focus, to answer newest travelers’ expectations and address the mobility stakes of tomorrow. This transformation includes a reboot of the technological stacks, including the data architecture and approach to data analysis. The team is being reinforced and technologies reshaped to make this project a success. The MichelinGuide also lives its transformation in order to enhance and optimize its digital offer.
You would join the Experiences business line Data Hub team in this challenging and exciting context to participate to the creation of a new ViaMichelin and the enhancement of the Michelin Guide. You will work closely with Product Managers, Marketing Managers as well as Tech Leads, developers to carry out your day-to-day activities.
