      Job Summary:

      Under the supervision of the Evaluation Coordinator, the Data Analyst is responsible for the retrieval, analysis, interpretation, and dissemination of data for the CancerCare Manitoba Screening Programs.

      Qualifications:

      Required:

      • University degree in health information, statistics, health sciences, or related discipline. Candidates with a combination of education and relevant work experience may be considered.
      • At least 1 year of experience working with large databases
      • Experience communicating data and/or producing reports
      • Experience using statistical software such as SAS for analysis of large datasets
      • Ability to link databases and merge data from various sources, create tables with extensive date cleaning knowledge
      • Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills
      • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
      • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
      • Must have satisfactory employment record
      • Must be legally able to work in Canada

      Preferred:

      • At least two years of experience using SAS
      • Previous experience working in a health care environment

      Asset:

      • Ability to speak French
