Position: Data Analytics Co-op (Spring/Summer 2025)

Location: Seneca Falls, NY

Major: Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related

Academic Schedule: January - August 2025

Status: Full Time (40 Hours per week, Monday to Friday)

Rate of pay: $25 to $35 per hour depending on degree program

Summary: Our ITT Goulds Pumps co-op candidates have the unique opportunity to work for one of the most recognizable pump brands in the world. They obtain firsthand experience in the design and manufacture of engineered to order, high specification industrial pumps and monitoring equipment. The Data Analyst co-op will perform various data analytics on ‘Big Data’ sets within the Monitoring & Controls group. As an example, perform analytics on i-ALERT3 vibration, temperature, geo-spatial, business data, etc. Potentially interface with development partners on the design of future data analytics products.

Essential Responsibilities

• Responsible for reviewing, analyzing and interpreting Big Data.
• Development of a User Interface to perform various data analytics
• Validate data analytics through robust test plans and procedures.
• Present design concepts and ideas to peers and management
• Development of S/W to perform data analytics
• Assist in developing the technical and commercial specifications of products or services gathered from customer feedback.
• Stay current with latest technology trends and competitor products.

Position Requirements

• Junior/Senior Year or Grad Student in Applied Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Science with a focus on Data Analytics/Science
• Some experience working on Data Analytics, Big Data, Internet of things, etc.

• Experience with Python, MatLab, R, and C+ programming languages is a plus

• Good presentation skills

• Conceptual thinker

• Strong mathematical and analytical skills
