- Comfortability observing surgery, including but not limited to seeing blood, body parts and code blue’s.
- Experience working in a regulated industry such as healthcare or finance
- An interest in understanding the provision of healthcare at a deeper level
- You will use Apella's internal tools to label images and events from operating room videos
- You will be expected to gain a basic understanding of machine learning and computer vision systems data so that you can use this in your daily work
Apella is applying computer vision, machine learning and NLP to improve the standard of care in the most critical aspect of healthcare; surgery. We build applications to enable surgeons, nurses, and hospital administrators to deliver the highest quality care. We are looking for detail-oriented people to help train our AI systems to understand the objects and workflow of surgery. This is a fully remote contract position. Projects are approximately 25 hours of work a week, offering you flexibility to manage your own schedule. All contractors need to reside in the US.
