Job Summary Job Description DUTIES: Contribute to a team responsible for designing and developing scalable, cost effective, and efficient software and data engineering solutions to support Comcast advertising clients; develop cloud-based software using AWS; design, develop, test, and maintain software to perform extract, transform, and load processes (ETL) on large volumes of data; develop ETL jobs leveraging Databricks and Jupyter notebooks; perform big data analysis using Python, Pyspark, and SQL; automate ETL jobs using AWS; write SQL and Spark SQL queries to perform exploratory analysis on large data sets; optimize existing Pyspark ETL jobs to improve performance; validate input data and perform quality assurance checks on outputs delivered through automated ETL jobs, in order to improve the quality of data deliverables; analyze product specifications, write technical specs, create monitoring dashboards, develop test suites, design workflows, and setup database schemas and tables; interface with global engineering, operations, services, and business operations teams to execute proof of concepts and incorporate new requirements; and improve system performance and ensure availability and scalability of services. Position is eligible for 100% remote work. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, and two (2) years of experience developing cloud-based software using AWS; and performing big data analysis using SQL, Python, and Pyspark.
