  Position Overview:

  As a Data Engineer at Intapp, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the foundation of our modern data platform. You will design and implement scalable, modular, and reusable data products and pipelines, leveraging state-of-the-art technologies like Databricks, Snowflake, and related tools. Your work will enable faster insights, stronger governance, and seamless interoperability across our data stack, while mentoring team members and driving best practices in platform architecture.

  What will you do:

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data platform components, ensuring flexibility and interoperability across modern data platforms.

  • Implement data architectures based on the medallion framework, enabling modular, reusable, and high-quality data assets.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into reliable, governed, and production-ready data products.

  • Develop, optimize, and maintain efficient data pipelines in Python to support analytics, machine learning, and business intelligence needs.

  • Define and enforce best practices for platform development, including security, governance, monitoring, and cost optimization.

  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering knowledge sharing and raising the overall technical bar of the team.

  • Stay ahead of industry trends and recommend tools, frameworks, and practices that keep our data platform future-proof.

  What you will need:

  • Proven expertise in at least one major data platform (Databricks, Snowflake, or similar) and familiarity with the others.

  • Strong understanding of data product concepts and the medallion architecture.

  • Deep proficiency in Python, with experience building production-grade data pipelines and integrations.

  • Solid knowledge of SQL, NoSQL, and cloud-based data storage formats (Parquet, Iceberg, JSON, Delta, etc.).

  • Ability to make architectural decisions and drive platform strategy in alignment with business goals.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  Bonus if you have:

  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).

  • Familiarity with Azure and its data services (e.g., Azure Data Lake, Synapse, Event Hubs).

  • Knowledge of data governance, data security, and regulatory compliance best practices.

  • Hands-on experience with data cataloging, lineage, and observability tools.

  • Exposure to ML/AI workflows and integrating platform capabilities with data science teams.
