- Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 4–6 years of hands-on data engineering experience, including designing and maintaining data pipelines in a production environment.
- Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Python and SQL with experience using data pipeline orchestration tools (e.g., Dagster, Airflow, etc.).
- Demonstrable experience with AWS (S3, EC2, Lambda, Glue) and Snowflake.
- Familiarity with dbt for data transformations and modeling.
- Understanding of ETL/ELT best practices and data warehousing concepts.
- Experience using source control systems and CI/CD pipelines.
- Soft Skills & Leadership
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience mentoring junior engineers or contributing to team knowledge sharing.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
