- Build, optimize, and maintain scalable data pipelines using SQL Server and Snowflake.
- Write efficient, complex SQL queries (CTEs, DDL, DML, WITH statements, joins).
- Support data integrity and quality across 30,000+ arbitration claims.
- Partner with stakeholders to define KPIs and deliver data insights.
- Develop process automation in SQL and Python.
- Contribute to ongoing migration and development efforts within Snowflake.
- Monitor system health and serve as a first line for data-related issues.
- Design and maintain data governance dashboards and monitoring tools to track quality metrics and trends.
- Document data governance processes, definitions, and metrics, ensuring accessibility and clarity for cross-functional teams.
- Gain deep knowledge of healthcare financial data and business rules to support analytics and reporting needs.
- Follow best practices for development, QA, deployment, and source code management (e.g., Git).
- Work closely with developers and analysts to optimize data workflows and streamline processes.
- Embrace agile methodologies, tracking progress using tools like Atlassian Jira or Azure DevOps.
- Business acumen and ability to communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders.
- Knowledge of ELT tools (e.g., DBT) and orchestration platforms (e.g., Airflow, Dagster).
- Certain understanding of Data Governance methodologies.
- Advanced SQL proficiency with ability to write complex queries and manipulate in-process tables.
- Extensive experience with SQL Server.
- Experience with cloud data platforms like Snowflake, Databricks, or AWS Redshift.
- Python for automation and data wrangling.
- Background in healthcare claims data.
- Familiarity with data visualization and monitoring tools (e.g., Grafana preferred but open to PowerBI or Tableau)
- Experience supporting arbitration, insurance, or compliance-driven workflows.
- Hands-on experience documenting data governance policies in tools like Atlassian Confluence or Notion.
- Exposure to DevOps concepts or system monitoring environments.
