      Job Summary

      This is a 2 year graduate programme with learning and development at the forefront, senior leadership exposure and opportunities to travel. We are looking for a savvy Data Engineer graduate to join our growing team of analytics experts. Do you love building tools and data pipelines?       If this describes you, you are the ideal candidate for Colgate Palmolive. Colgate Palmolive Data Engineer grads will support our software developers, data analysts and data scientists on data initiatives and will ensure optimal data delivery architecture is consistent throughout ongoing projects. All our graduates are paired with an assigned manager and mentor, as well as a dedicated graduate co-coordinator. Consistent feedback is a key element of life here at Colgate and our grads can expect no less. Our mentors will provide a listening ear as well as constant coaching to help you get the most out of your graduate programme.

      Main Responsibilities

      • Participate in data analytics projects, which will involve gathering the data requirements, developing testing and delivering data pipelines, building SQL views and visualization dashboards

      • Work with our business partners to get sign off on datasets

      • Write SQL queries for retrieval of data into views and dashboards

      • Partner with our business teams to design and develop dashboards to display the various data elements in a meaningful way

      • Be involved in problem-solving and utilize analytical skills on various projects

      • Collaborate with team members and across teams

      Preferred Qualifications

      • Computer Science and/or Engineering degree subjects are preferred, while other degree subjects may be considered
      • A well-rounded academic background is important
      • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
      • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced collaborative environment
      • Knowledge of SQL, programming languages (e.g., Python, Javascript, Java, C++, C#), databases, data structures and algorithms.
