50% - Solution Development - Develops algorithms to transform data into useful, actionable information . Design and develop algorithms and models to use against large datasets to create business insights; Participates in large data analytics project teams by serving as a lead for analytics projects; May lead small projects and work independently on solution development. Execute tasks with high levels of efficiency and quality; Make appropriate selection, utilization and interpretation of advanced analytical methodologies.
20% - Business Collaboration - Incorporate business knowledge into solution approach. Effectively develop trust and collaboration with internal customers and cross-functional teams; Work with project teams and business partners to determine project goals.
15% - Project Management & Team Support - Effectively communicate insights and recommendations to both technical and non-technical leaders and business customers/partners; Present recommendations in a confident manner in order to influence execution of recommendation. Prepare reports, updates and/or presentations related to progress made on a project or solution. Clearly communicate impacts of recommendations to drive alignment and appropriate implementation.
15% - Technical Exploration & Development - Seek further knowledge on key developments within advanced analytics, technical skill sets, and additional data sources. Participate in the continuous improvement of predictive and prescriptive analytics by developing replicable solutions.

Expertise in building ETL/ELT pipelines
Strong understanding of data engineering and architecture fundamentals and best practices
Experience with and extensive knowledge of data warehousing best practices
Strong SQL query writing abilities
Programming proficiency in Python
Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work effectively with cross-functional teams
Demonstrated project management skills
Experience working directly with subject matter experts in both business and technology
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools (e.g. Asana, Jira)
Working knowledge of Tableau a plus

Position Purpose:
This position is responsible for developing, implementing, testing, and maintaining data pipelines and data structures within the Company Store’s cloud-based data warehouse environment on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). As a foundational contributor to the organization’s data architecture, the associate will own the end-to-end process of building and maintaining our reporting data warehouse, leveraging deep expertise in ETL/ELT pipeline engineering and data warehousing principles and best practices.
In alignment with business needs, the associate acquires datasets, designs algorithms to transform raw data into actionable insights, and builds, tests, and maintains scalable database pipeline architectures. The role includes creating new data validation methods and analysis tools to ensure data integrity and usefulness. Data Engineers develop application programming interfaces (APIs) to streamline data retrieval and contribute to the development, hosting, and ongoing maintenance of in-house enterprise solutions. To enhance reliability and stakeholder confidence, the associate builds, monitors, tests, and validates supported products and solutions.
Success in this role requires a strong command of SQL, programming proficiency in Python, and the ability to work collaboratively to understand the business needs and execute solutions. The position is central to driving operational excellence and business outcomes through effective data solutions, project management skills, and an ability to collaborate across data engineering, business intelligence, and diverse cross-functional teams.
