      Adventist Healthcare seeks to hire an experienced Data Engineer III for our Information Technology Department who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.

      As a Data Engineer III you will:
      • Architect and build scalable, reusable, and maintainable ETL pipelines using Talend Data Integration.
      • Creates and supports the ETL process to facilitate the onboarding of data into the data warehouse and distribution of data across data stores from a wide variety of sources using different ETL tools and technologies.
      • Optimizes pipeline orchestration, handling dependencies, and failures.
      • Implement complex data transformations using components like tMap, tJavaRow, tSQLRow, and JSON.Automate data ingestion from REST APIs, cloud platforms, and relational databases into cloud or on-premises storage.
      • Optimize Talend jobs for high-volume data processing through efficient memory settings, parallelization, and dependency injection.
      • Debug and enhance existing Talend jobs to address bugs or evolving requirements.
      • Manage deployments using Talend Administrator Console (TAC) for scheduling and lifecycle management.
      • Develop and maintain data ingestion pipelines from local storage to Snowflake, ensuring data transformation and archival as per mapping documents.
      • Write and optimize Snowflake stored procedures and Snowflake SQL for efficient data processing. Integrate Talend with cloud platforms like Snowflake.
      • Creating and supporting routine and ad hoc data load processes through database refreshes and updates.
      • Optimize data integration platform to provide optimal performance under increasing data volumes. Optimizes ETL workflows for efficiency, using parallel processing
      • Check in code to Git and create artifacts using tools like NEXUS for deployment through CI/CD pipelines. Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to publish jobs to higher environments. Resolve merge conflicts and follow best practices for version control using Git.
      • Provide expertise in the design and development of best practices for big data stacking, data warehousing, data lake, ETL architecture, data federation, virtualization, data modeling procedures, and workflows, including technical documents.
      • Maintains detailed charts, diagrams, and flow charts outlining systems, hardware, interfaces, and configurations related to data warehousing and ETL jobs and tasks.
      • Provide Data Integration and data warehousing application portfolio support in the timely resolution of technology incidents while adhering to SLA prioritization and success measures, including 24/7 on-call support.

      Qualifications include:
      • Mission-driven individual with strong values that align with the AHC mission
      • Ability to work in a fast-paced, critical patient care-driven organization
      • Strong ETL and Datawarehouse implementation experience and skill, especially Talend ETL
      • Preferred working in a cloud-based environment such as AWS or Azure
      • Must be able to think critically, detail-oriented, and present arguments in an articulate manner
      • Ability to articulate ideas to both technical and non-technical addressees
      • Exceptionally self-motivated and directed
      • Customer service-oriented individual
      • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.
      • 5+ years of professional data engineering experience, with hands-on experience using Talend Data Integration
      • 5+ years of Extensive experience designing and optimizing ETL/ELT processes and data pipelines. Advanced knowledge of Talend Data Integration, Talend Administration Center, Data Quality, API Designer, and Big Data Frameworks
      • 5+ years of Experience working on cloud-based environments such as Oracle Cerner, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
      • 5+ years of Experience working with large-scale data warehouses and related technologies.
      • 4+ years of experience with Snowflake (SQL and stored procedures) and Oracle.
      • 3+ years of experience with database schema design, data modeling, and data warehousing.
      • 3+ years of hands-on experience with cloud storage solutions like Snowflake.
      • 3+ years proficiency in Python and Java for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL). Experience with JSON, XML, CSV, and other file formats for data transformation.
      • 3+ years’ experience integrating with RESTful and SOAP web services. Proven expertise in CI/CD pipelines and version control using Git.
      • Preferred Talend ETL developer certification. Familiarity with Snowflake, Azure cloud platforms, and tools

      Pay Range:

      $96,058.56 - $144,081.60

      If the salary range is listed as $0 or if the position is Per Diem (with a fixed rate), salary discussions will take place during the screening process.
