      Position Title: Data Engineer Intern

      Role

      The Data Engineer Intern develops and supports data pipelines that provide timely and relevant information to others within the organization. This includes building and maintaining the data structures for data ingestion, processing and deployment to support Crown Castle’s analytics and reporting needs.

      Responsibilities

      • Collaborate with teammates in developing data pipelines: Develop and automate ETL (Extract-Transformation-Load) code using programming languages, ETL tools and job scheduling software to provide the data needed for analytics and reporting.
      • Assist teammates in performing in-depth tests for all developed ETL code.
      • Collaborate with other development teams and understand business requirements.
      • Assist teammates in implementing and testing software to support Enterprise Analytics Platform.
      • Assist teammates in managing and coordinating work for development projects.

      Education/Certifications

      • Currently enrolled as a full-time student in pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited higher education institution with an expected graduation date between December 2024 and June 2026
      • Preferred field(s) of study: Computer Science, Software Engineering or Data Analytics

      Experience/Minimum Requirements

      • Good understanding of modern data engineering methodologies
      • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java and/or C#
      • Experience using source code control versioning software is preferred
      • Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) from June 3 to August 9, 2024
      • Authorization to work in the U.S. on a full-time, regular basis without additional sponsorship

      Reports to: Sr. Manager of Software Engineering

      Work Plans: This role falls into our remote work model that does not require in-office work or travel.

      For New York, Colorado, California and Washington residents - The hiring range offered for this position is $19.50/hour.
