- Supporting senior team members in data mapping and analysis
- Completing ad-hoc data requests with guidance from team members
- Building Python & SQL based data transformations
- Growing their knowledge of cloud-based data engineering concepts
- Completing assigned business valued projects with the assistance of the senior team
- Knowledge of RDBMS concepts
- Awareness of the SDLC
- Exposure to Data Warehousing Concepts
- Entry-level/Academic Python & SQL Development Experience
- Entry-level/Academic data analysis experience
- The drive to learn every characteristic of data engineering & data analysis, including both the technical and business aspects.
- Major in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Math, or related degree.
- Student with a graduation date of Summer 2024 or Fall 2024
- Exposure to, and understanding of Cloud Computing - AWS, Snowflake, Azure, GCP, etc.
- Experience developing data reports using Data Visualization tools - PowerBI, Tableau, Qlik, etc.
- Exposure to RDBMS

Cox Automotive is looking for a dynamic and ambitious individual to join our team as a Data Engineer Intern. The Data Engineering intern will help staff engineers & analyst by performing basic data analysis and infrastructure support tasks while learning best practices in data design, transformation, and cloud-computing.

Intern/Co-Op sessions are considered temporary employment. No full-time employment commitments are made. However, depending on our business needs, some interns may be considered for a full-time position following the conclusion of the session conditioned upon the intern graduating from their academic program and being available to commence full-time employment at a specified time.
