      Description

      We are a family-oriented Midwest based company in Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Michigan. As a result of our growth, we have a need for a Data Engineer.


      As the Data Engineer at Crane Engineering, you will play a critical role in enhancing our data-driven decision-making capabilities. This senior individual contributor role involves supporting our Dynamics CRM system, constructing BI dashboards, and managing data processes. The ideal candidate will have strong SQL skills and experience in building business intelligence tools.


      What You Get To Do

      · Provide ongoing support and development for our Dynamics CRM system, ensuring optimal performance and alignment with business processes.

      · Design and build business intelligence dashboards, catering to both financial and executive-level needs. Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver insightful analytics.

      · Assist in supporting QuoteWerks quoting tool, ERP system, and other internal applications.

      · Write complex SQL statements for data manipulation and analysis. Ensures data accuracy and integrity across different business functions.

      · Manage individual projects related to data engineering, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of objectives.

      · Work closely with various departments to understand their data needs and translate these into effective data solutions.

      · Continuously seek ways to improve data processes and systems, leveraging the latest technologies and best practices in the field.

      · Evolve this role into the potential of leading a small data engineering department.

      · May perform other duties as assigned.

      Requirements

      What We Need From You

      · Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

      · Minimum 5 years proven experience in data engineering, including experience with Dynamics CRM and BI dashboard development.

      · Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with data visualization tools.

      · Demonstrated ability to take complex requirements and create clear, efficient, and effective data solutions.

      · Solid understanding of database management, data warehousing, and ETL processes.

      · Familiarity with cloud computing services and big data technologies is a plus.

      · Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

      · Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of effectively gathering requirements and presenting data insights.

      · Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

      · Ambition to grow into a leadership role, with a focus on team development and strategic planning.

      · Comfortable in a dynamic, evolving environment, with a willingness to adapt and learn new skills.
