- Implementation:
- File Mapping: Complete file mapping based on layouts and requirements provided by Project Managers.
- Business Logic: Write business logic (in KB_SQL or other languages as appropriate) for transforming data into product specifications.
- Data Quality Checks: Run and interpret quality checks against loaded data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Data extraction / Data Transfer: Ability to extract data from client source system and transfer to internal Optum servers.
- Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot issues raised by project managers from root cause identification to resolution.
- Support Requests: Handle support requests and provide timely solutions to ensure client satisfaction.
- Stakeholder Interaction: Work closely with Client, Project Managers, Product managers and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
- Documentation: Contribute to technical documentation of specifications and processes.
- Communication: Effectively communicate complex concepts, both verbally and in writing, to team members and clients.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience working with ETL & Data warehousing services.
- Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Technical Aptitude: Ability to learn new technologies.
- Database Knowledge: McKesson STAR / Cache
- ETL Tools: STAR Vista Reporting (QREPro, KB_SQL)
- SQL and Scripting: Proficiency in KB_SQL and related procedural scripting
- Database Knowledge: Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL
- SQL Skills: Ability to query large data sets and optimize queries
- ETL Tools: MSBI (SSIS/SSRS/SSAS)/Informatica
- US Health care Knowledge: Highly preferred
- Health Information Systems: Working knowledge preferred.
- Clinical Data Analysis: Highly preferred.
- Clinical Processes: Understanding of clinical processes and vocabulary.
- Preferred Technology: Azure/AWS, Databricks, Python, Bigdata
- Analytical and Creative: Highly analytical, curious, and creative.
- Organized: Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
Data Engineering Analyst – McKesson STAR Data Extraction
The Role in Brief: The Data Engineering Analyst will be responsible for any development, deployment, and documentation required for extracting clinical information from McKesson STAR sources in alignment with a supplied specification. This resource will support members of the Acquisition Services implementation team by providing data and collaborating on any required adjustment based on validation cycles.
